INNOVA E4 CMS pass-through AER meets the highest standards in endoscope reprocessing. It was the first endoscope washer-disinfector in Canada that enabled the physical separation of soiled and clean areas to prevent cross-contamination. Facilities across the country have been relying on INNOVA E4 CMS for many years. The INNOVA E4 CMS can reprocess two flexible endoscopes in 37 minutes1 and is equipped with the Channel Monitoring System, BHT ‘s most advanced technology to detect any obstructions inside a channel.


E4 CMS Zoom-In

The INNOVA E4 CMS can accommodate two conventional flexible endoscopes2 (Olympus, Pentax, Fujinon, Karl Storz, Wolf) and performs an entire washing and disinfection cycle in 37 minutes1. The pass-through design of the washer-disinfector significantly reduces the risks of cross-contamination by creating a physical separation between contaminated and clean areas. While the endoscopes are loaded on the contaminated side, the door on the clean side remains locked until the end of the cycle. Once the cycle is complete, endoscopes can safely be unloaded on the clean side.


INNOVA E4 CMS is equipped with the BHT patented Channel Monitoring System (CMS).

Endoscope channels are individually checked for obstructions or any other causes that could narrow a channel. Even partial blockage can be detected and the machine is programmed to immediately notify the operator. Therefore, it ensures that endoscopes potentially carrying harmful bioburden will not be used on a patient.

The sets of connectors are color coded to simplify their identification by the staff and easy to attach to the scopes. The lightweight baskets are also specifically designed to facilitate handling and prevent any damage to endoscopes.

Developed with users’ expectations in mind, INNOVA AERs are fully operated via a barcode scanner thus promoting easy operation. The barcode scanner is also used to record all critical information, such as endoscope serial numbers and the operator's identification. This information appears on the print-out and is stored in the cycle data, easily accessible on the computer at any time.

The washer-disinfectors can also be connected to our endoscope cabinets thus ensuring a complete traceability for reprocessed scopes.
